A few qurious facts on Eyelashes
An average person grows a new set of eyelashes about every 6 to 12 weeks. A healthy human eye has between 100 and 150 eyelashes on the upper eyelid and 50-70 on the lower lid. The lashes grow in several rows. Most people think they only have one row of lashes. When you look up close you will see the 3 or 4 layers that our natural lashes grow in.
Eyelashes are made up of three per cent water and 97 per cent keratin, the same protein found in nails and the top layer of our skin. Human embryos develop eyelashes between the seven and eight weeks. The medical term for loss of eyelashes is madarosis.
Eyelashes are sensitive to touch, much like a cat's whiskers. So besides protecting your eyeballs from dust, pollen and other particles, they can warn you when something is moving toward your eyes, so you can close them.
There are some new eyelash growth promoting drugs available on the market. They contain the same active ingredients as the glaucoma drug Lumigan. 
Xtreme Lashes Inc. sells Lash MD. When used twice a day for about 2 Months it will promote great lash growth. This product can be used while wearing eyelash extensions.
Ancient Egyptians used kohl, a preparation made of ingredients such as soot, copper, lead and burnt almonds, to darken their lashes .
SINGLE STRAND EYELASH EXTENSIONS
These Synthetic lashes are applied one by one directly to your own natural EYELASH. Xtremelashcanada uses A Medical grade adhesive that has been approved by Health Canada. This Adhesive permanently attaches the extension to your own natural eyelash. Our adhesive contains the same main ingredient that is found in the medical adhesive used by Doctors to close wounds instead of doing stitches.
When treated with proper care these extensions will last for the full cycle of your eyelash growth. Eyelash extensions grows for 45 to 90 days and then become mature lashes and naturally fall out. Then they are replaced by new younger lashes which will also last 45 to 90 days and the cycle goes on. The extension will also fall out with the old natural lash.
There are many different types of eyelash extensions to choose from. We carry every different type of lashes on the market. Single synthetic, Mink, Silk, Y-lash, W-lash, Semi synthetic, Semi Human hair, one piece false lash. We carry all different lengths 7mm up to 18mm and 3 different thickness 0.15mm, 0.20mm, and 0.25mm. These also come in 2 different curls J-curl for a more natural look and C-curl for the ladies who like that extra curl look the curls stay in place you never have to curl them.
SEMI (CLUSTER) EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Semi eyelash extensions are very different from the single eyelash extensions. Semi does not have the same natural look. They do look more real than the one piece false lashes, but just not as real as the single lashes. Why do some people apply the semi lashes and they stay on for 2 Months and when other people apply them they only stay on for 2 days. Well as we all know by now there are different types of adhesives. The ones sold in most beauty supply store and Pharmacy are temporary adhesives only meant for daily use. So when you apply them by yourself that is all you can get. When someone else apply these same semi lashes for you, but using the same temporary adhesive they may last about 1 week.
The difference when you get semi lashes applied by a Certified XTREMELASHCANADA Eyelash technician is that they will be applied with the same Medical grade adhesive that we use to apply the single lashes. We also DO NOT apply any of our lashes to the skin. All lashes are applied directly to your own natural lashes. With over 4 years experience applying semi lashes we can tell you that semi lashes stay on longer than single lashes. We have Thousands of clients who will agree to this fact. Semi lashes take about 45 up to 75 minutes to apply depending on the Technician.
SILK SINGLE EYELASH EXTENSIONS

MINK SINGLE EYELASH EXTENSIONS
These Mink lashes are similar to the synthetic lashes except they are much softer and feels more natural. They also cost a little more. Mink lashes are the top choice of the MOVIE STARS and other Celebrities all over the world. These lashes look and feel so real that even up close your best friend will think they are your very own.
How the procedure is done
Our clients are given the royal treatment when they get their lashes done. Laying on a massage or Facial bed the usually go to sleep and wake up with their new beautiful lash extensions. Even if you wear contacts or glasses we have a solution for you. Your Eyelash technician will guide you as to what length, thickness and shape is appropriate for you.
Always ask before you let anyone apply eyelash extensions what Brand products they are using. Also ask to see their Certification. you can always contact the training company directly to verify. Single lashes take about 90 up to 150 minutes to apply depending on the Technician. Each person have between 80 up to 180 lashes per Eye. Most Eyelash Technicians can apply between 50 and 80 pieces per Eye in 120 minutes. However A Master Eyelash Technician can apply between 90 and 130 pieces per Eye in the same time. So you may find Master technicians have higher prices. Enjoy your new lashes and treat them with care.
All types of eyelash extensions require refills between 2 and 4 weeks. Clients who are new to wearing eyelash extensions usually need a refill at about 2 weeks. WHY? because they lack the experience of eyelash extensions care. More experienced clients get refills between 3 and 5 weeks. Caring for your new eyelash extensions is very simple. Treat them with gentle care no rubbing, pulling, curling, sauna or mascara. However you can go swimming and take your regular showers as water does not remove these lashes.
These eyelash extensions must also be removed by your technician. you must never try to remove them on your own as they are permanently attached to your own lashes. If you try to remove them without the proper adhesive remover you will pull out your own natural lashes. When removed by your certified technician using our adhesive remover none of your own natural lashes will be lost.
About our adhesive
Xtremelashcanada carry 3 different types of Medical grade adhesive.
Sensitive medical adhesive has no odor and is perfect for the beginner technician and clients with very sensitive eyes. You will have enough time to work with the extension before applying it. This is however a slower drying adhesive. As a certified Eyelash technician you will know when you are getting too fast for the regular adhesive. This is when you should switch to the advance adhesive.
Regular adhesive is twice as fast as the regular adhesive, and does have a little odor. With it's flexibly strong bond this advance adhesive will make your applications faster and cleaner. The advance adhesive is also thinner than the regular adhesive. You only need 1 drop of adhesive to complete a full application on each eye.
Advance adhesive is the fastest eyelash adhesive in the world. It does have some odor should only be used by eyelash technicians who are very fast. It is Xtremelashcanada company policy to only sell this Superior adhesive to eyelash technicians who have already used the advance adhesive. We strongly suggest you do not try to go from regular adhesive to Superior adhesive. The Superior adhesive is the thinnest and you must be very fast to use it.
WARNING
All Xtremelashcanada adhesives are for professional use only and must not be used by the public for self application. These are all permanent adhesives and should only be removed with our specially formulated adhesive remover. The client's eyes must always be closed during the application.
